Kullu valley of gods is full of beauty. A visitor loves to take back in heart. It's only the nature bounties of Himalayas not anything else.

Notes: Indicating it loveliness ... in brief being given in down line.

  Day 01  Essence of Manu Alya  
 

Hadimba Temple:  Located in lovely wilderness and natural setting. It is just 2 km. from the Mall. This four tiered pagoda shaped temple erected by Raja Bahadur Singh in 1553 is a marvelous piece of wooden carving and figures.

 

Club House:  It is beautiful building standing on the back of gushing steam Manalsu. This is the perfect place to test the stamina in different indoor games with the taste of local delicacies and is around 2 km. from the Mall.

Manu Temple:  Hardly 3 km. away from the Mall touching sky height is in the middle of wooden houses of village Manali.

 

Vashisht Bath:  As the name indicates itself the place associated with saga Vashisht is 4 km. from Manu's land. This temple was built by the king Jayamajya around 1000 years back in the memory of his father.

Tibetan Monastery:  A walking distance from the mall in the treasure house of thanks and other related crafts of Buddhism.

 

Van Vihar:  At the southern end of the town there is reserve forest which is the perfect spot for walk amidst the thickly populated timber

  Day 02  A Trail To Himalayan Grandeur  
   

Nehru kund (2050 M):  Around six km. where one can quench the thirst with the icy water oozing out from the rocky mountain.

 

Kothi (1980 M):  Last habitation in the valley barely 15 km. from here commands a spectacular view of the glaciers and deep gorges.

Gulaba (2050 M):  Approximately 30 minutes journey after numerous "u" turns the name of this place is derived from that person who died here while making his forbidden land accessible to the rest of the world.

 

Marhi (3354 M):  It is tedious journey of 35 km. arrives to marhi. From here the steep climb ends to Rohtang. Here one can refresh to reenergize to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Rohtang (3978 M):  A gateway to the barren land 51 km. drive from manali is the cherished dream of each and every visitor moving to valley

 

Solang Valley (2760 M):  15 km. drive from Manali is on the way to Rohtang between Manali and Kothi is 3 km left to traditional wooden village of Palchan.

  Day 03  A Journey To Wilderness  
   

Kaisdhar (1650 M):  Around 30 km. drive from Manali and hardly 10 minutes journey ahead to Naggar Himalayan resort leads to the beauty of twisting fields gives an exotic experience.

 

Bijli Mahadev (2780 M):  A sacred destination 55 km. from Manali beautifully placed at the height of 3460 M. A 3 km. from chansari village the last accessible spot to this destination is know for stone linga shattered into pieces.

  Day 04  A Trail To Healing Waters  
   

Vaishno Temple (1150 M):  Established in 1964 by a saint an image of Durga is enshrined in a cave. Beautiful images of Rama & Krishna are also standing beside cave.

 

Bhekhli Temple (1833 M):  Abode of jagannathi dated back to 1500 years, 55 km. from Manali is located at the height of 1833 m.

Raghunath Temple (1235 M):  Seat of chief deity of valley in kullu itself and image of deity is believed to be the same as at time of Ashvameda Yajna and is brought from Ayodhya. This Temple was built in 1600 A.D

 

Kasol : Located five km short of healing waters in open space is an angler's paradise. Crystal clear sand on the edges of roaring Parvati river is a better holiday destination.

Manikaran  :  86 km. long drive is a hot favorite locale in the Parvati valley is Manikaran. This is believed that once the serpent king Shesh nag stole jewels of parvati while in bath and furious Shiva threatened him of dire consequences.

  Day 05  An Odyssey To Heritage Resort-Naggar  
   

Jagatsukh : 6 km. drive leads on the first capital of the valley is famous for Gayatri and Shiva temple. Ghiva temple in pyramid from with beautiful carvings dates back to 8th century.

 

Dashal : After enjoying the awesome dancing paddy fields, grassy orchards on the way to Naggar, Dashal is right to the rustic village Sarsai, Gauri Shankar temple here  is famous for its architecture.

Naggar (1760 M)  : Magnificent trail of 25 km to heritage resort perched in the sloppy hill takes back you to glorious past. It remained the seat of power till 1460 and then sifted to Kullu. Naggar is the seat of assembly of gods where they meat to alleviate the sorrows of humanity. There is a beautiful stone temple a few steps down to the castle where 8 mettle idols stand on the pedestal and a little bit away is beautiful pagoda style Tripura Sundri Temple.

 

Other Attractions

 

Malana  : Accessible from Naggar or Jari, Malana is deemed to be the oldest Republic in the world. This land locked Hermit village still boasts of the ancient traditions. 35 km tiring trek from Naggar to Malana offers scintillating view of Deo Tibba especially from Chanderkhani Pass. The  people of this mysterious village bspeaks a different dialect and all activities are centered around the god Jamlu. The guilty party has to feast the entire village community. It is believed that a few of Alexandra's cavalcade who deserted and marrid to the local women and hence their features are little bit similar to the Greeks.

Adventure  : Valley is the paradise for the adventure seekers. Solang valley boasts to be one of the finest ski slopes in the world and from time to time winter games are held to test the stamina. This is the base for many hard and soft treks from Day 01 to Day 22. The white river rafting in river beas gives you life time experience of rapids not so risky as said. The equipment and training can be hed from the mountaineering institute at Aleo, 2 km from the Mall in trekking, hiking, skiing, rock climbing etc. Now hilly skiing is also gaining popularity and every year the number  of hilly skiers is swelling.
